UK Tour and the first live challenge
Featuring Mikey D
A series of beat battle events for King of the beats around the in the UK to transform the original DVD challenge to a live stage for the first time. This took place in 3 locations London, Birmingham and Brighton. The challenge this time round is more demanding. Apart from searching for music to sample there is a very limited time to produce and create new beats then present the finished product live on stage. This is real test as there is no second chance and no escape if anything goes wrong. On the night of each event each competitor had with a short amount of time on the music they produced. A panels made up of hip-hop legends and established artists decided the winner at each event. In addition to each event Mikey D from Main Source performed live especially for King of the Beats events in London, Birmingham and Brighton. Also for the London and Brighton event a promotional film of a project which is part of King of The Beats "Men and their Music" created by Pritt Kalsi interviewing the finest DJ's and Producers in the US and the UK which represented the Hip-culture around 30 years.
In addition an art exhibition at the London event created by
Pritt, The Artful Dodger, Cryze and Chris Malbon.
